the global latam movement

There is a kind of high impact tech entrepreneur that is rarely produced by world's most comfortable places. One who has learned to build without a safety net, to innovate under pressure, to find creative solutions where others see only obstacles and to adapt and keep going when the ground shifts beneath them.

Latin America has been producing this kind of founder for the last 20+ years. The world is only now beginning to understand what that means.

We are 700 million people and a $7 trillion economy, the third largest on the planet. The founders emerging from it are no longer building only for Latin America, they are building from Latin America, for the world. Since 2000 Latam entrepreneurs helped create Facebook, Instagram, Duolingo, Meli, 99, Nubank, Wellhub, iFood, Vercel, Brex, Kalshi, Auth0 and Runway, among many others.

And we are just getting started.

Artificial intelligence is not just another technology wave, it is a fundamental redistribution of power, and it is arriving at precisely the moment when Latin American talent, capital and ambition are reaching critical mass. That is not a coincidence. That is a reckoning.

GAMA is the movement born from that convergence. Through GAMA House in São Paulo, GAMA Summit in San Francisco, and GAMA Journal online, we are creating the spaces, physical and digital, where the next generation of founders will build Global Latam companies. We are not asking for a seat at the table.

We are building a bigger one, and we are bringing with us the creativity, the humanity and the cultural richness that Latin America has always had to offer the world
